The
Department of Microbiology and Cell Biology, Indian Institute
of Science is organising a workshop from Feb 19th to Feb. 20th
, 2001 on DNA Microarray Technology. This workshop provides a
unique opportunity to obtain hands-on experience and in-depth
technical knowledge about DNA microarray technology. The workshop
is suitable for graduate students, post-docs as well as investigators.
The workshop
will consist of a series of lectures by experts in the field followed
by experimental laboratory sessions on DNA microarray by Incyte
Genomics

Experimental
sessions

Microarray: Probe preparation, array hybridization and analysis
- Jenny Fichmann/ Bill Gette, Incyte Genomics
Experiments would include Fluorescent probe preparation, DNA
Microarray hybridization microarray reading and analysis of
results.
Discussion
Key issues:
Microarray- Specific applications, Cost, Instrumentation and
bioinformatics in (for) the Indian context.

Applicants
interested in participating should write a paragraph not more
than 300 words on their recent research work, explaining its relevance
to the subject of the workshop. Accommodation will be arranged
for outstation participants.
